Cocoyea is based on a design by young local artist Djibril Annisette, from Port of Spain, who was the winner of a competition run for schoolchildren in Trinidad and Tobago.
Inspired by eight-year-old Djibril’s winning entry, designers have created the final mascot design which has been brought to life.
Cocoyea will become one of the most recognisable faces of the Games, seen at venues across Trinidad and Tobago, as well as online, both before and during the Games in August.
If you’re at the Games in Trinbago and spot Cocoyea, share your photos and selfies with us on social media.
